FlossyFX Ver2 Beta 1

Since I was having issues with Serato 1.9x, I had to go back and use 1.83. The ONLY thing i like about 1.9x is the fact that it has a sp-6 sampler where you can add drops (horns, name drops, bomb sounds, etc). So i went searching for a program where i could do this with 1.83. I had heard of FlossyFX by flosstradamus, but also heard you couldn't customize the drops, everything was pre-programmed. I didn't know someone had updated it on their own! Found version 2 on the serato forums, and i think i might like this better! You get 16(!) customizable drop banks.. the only difference is you have to click on the player to activate it, where in 1.9x, you just have to click the corresponding letter. An extra, but well worth it step.

You also have to plug it in through another channel on your mixer (aux for example). What i also noticed is that instead of drops, you can add mp3 mixes to the trigger so if you're serato happens to stall or crash, but your computer doesn't, you can just hit the drop with your mix and it will start playing! It's better than having a cd or ipod ready. Anyways, here's the download page for it.

Bought this from djcity.com. I think at first they were only coming out with the SL-3's, but now you can buy them for about $35 shipped. Not bad.. Beats having my box protected by my winter hat.

Doesn't really fit your wires/usb like it says, its a really tight fit (pause) with the SL-1.


(edit-didn't realize there was a back pocket in the back! it fits 2 rca's AND a usb cable! jams!
