LIVE MIX... SUMMER 2008

SO A COUPLE MONTHS AGO I WAS WORKING ON A CD, AND THEN FORGOT ABOUT IT, AND THEN SCRAPPED THE WHOLE PROJECT. I WAS LEFT WITH THIS MIX, STILL OVER 70 MIN LONG. HALF THE MIX IS EARLY NIGHT STUFF, THE LAST HALF IS PEAK TIME MIXES I WAS PLAYING EARLY IN THE SPRING/SUMMER. I DECIDED TO JUST UPLOAD IT TO ZSHARE SO PEOPLE CAN LISTEN AND DOWNLOAD IT. THE MIXING IS QUESTIONABLE AT TIMES, I WASN'T TRYING TO PER-FECT ANY OF IT, JUST GET A BASIS DOWN. BUT WHATEVER, DOWNLOAD IT AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DELETE IT.

Check out this video from the House of Blue's in Orlando. My man DJ Nova was spinning this dope house party on sunday night and his girl took this video. It's an exclusive remix i did that i've only sent out to a handful of dj's across the US. The reactions to it are always amazing, and it never fails to work. CURRENT - SOFT OPENING THIS FRIDAY!

Well, after more than half a year i think, Current is finally opening! A lot of things went down, have changed, and plans re-arranged, but i'm pretty excited to start doing a new friday. I've been holding it down at the Park@14th for the past couple weeks so I have to give a big thanks to Jimmy, Marc, and Moe for getting me in there. I'm not sure how my schedule is going to work out on Fridays there, but I think it's 2-3 times a month, which is good since I go to charlotte to dj once a month or two.

One More Time (House Moguls Remix) - DJ Phlipz Short Edit

When I was out in New York, I stopped by club 1OAK to check out the homie DJ M.O.S. Although the night was a little slow, because of 4th of July, we ended up having a great time listening to M.O.S. crank out the tunes. We got there early, pretty much the first people in there, and decided to get some cocktails... (i think they were like $18 each for absolute and captains... dagger!) After a couple more drinks, and a shot or 2 of grand marnier, we decided to hit the dancefloor.

M.O.S. was playing a dope mix of 70's, 80's, indie, dance, and pop early on and then after 1, he got into the usual club bangers. During my drunken state of dancing up a storm with my soon-2-be fiance, i caught him playing a dope mix of Daft Punk's "One More Time". It had the OG song in it, then went into a dope electro-ish feel. A month later i finally remembered that he played it, so i hit him up. I found the song, and felt it was a little too long to get to the good parts, so here's my re-edit.
